Rachael Lake is married with two grown up children and has served Walton residents since 1997.
She has chaired the Elmbridge Business Network for three years and helps to promote business in the borough.
In the community, Rachael has established and helped run the Elmbridge Community Fishing Academy in Walton for young people aged 8-16 years. For the last 15 years Rachael has served on the local Charity of Robert Philips, which provides grants for the arts to Walton residents.
A tireless campaigner on local issues affecting Walton residents, Rachael gained funding for both Walton Library and the soon to be opened Walton Bridge.
Rachael said “It has been an honour to have represented the residents of Walton for the past 15 years, from 1997 to 2005 on Surrey County Council and from 2006 to date on Elmbridge Council.
There is huge pressure on our schools. I was proud to be the Vice Chairman of Governors when two schools linked and became a flag ship school in Surrey: Walton Oak. I was also a Governor at Rydens for 12 years.
I have supported the Walton Day Centre in Manor Road and worked to achieve the sensory garden in my time as County Councillor. Together with your support I will ensure your voice is heard again on Surrey County Council.
