Mark was recently elected, in May 2021, as Surrey County Councillor for Hinchley Wood, Claygate & Oxshott.

After an international business career he moved to this part of Surrey attracted by its cluster of unique villages, green open spaces, independent shops and strong sense of community.

Living in Claygate and near to Hinchley Wood and Oxshott enables Mark to be involved with many local organisations and volunteers. He has served the residents of Claygate, as a Claygate Parish Councillor, for over eight years.

He is an ardent defender of the local Green Belt and green open spaces; he seeks to continue the prioritisation of funding for vulnerable residents of all ages; Mark is keen to see improved highways with more road, footpath, bridge and drainage gulley repairs – better, safer highways and supporting our police and Neighbourhood Watch.

Mark intends to do all he can to ensure a better brighter future for all and to make a positive difference to the quality of life of residents of the Hinchley Wood, Claygate & Oxshott communities.
