Only Surrey Conservatives and Conservative-run councils are standing up to Sadiq Khan’s ULEZ Expansion.
Sadiq Khan is planning to expand ULEZ to cover the whole of London. That means residents, small businesses and commuters who drive into the city could end up with a bill of more than £370 — every single month.
That’s why Surrey Conservatives and Conservative-run councils bordering London are taking a stand against London’s Mayor. We’re refusing to install the cameras and signs needed to charge local drivers. And we’re even taking Sadiq Khan to court to stop the expansion.
But the elections in May could put this plan at risk.
Many of the councils standing against ULEZ expansion are up for election this May. And Sadiq Khan would like nothing more than to have fewer Conservative-run councils on the border of London.
That’s because the Lib Dems, Greens and Independents have all supported ULEZ expansion from the start. And Sadiq Khan knows that if they control the councils bordering London, the opposition to his driving charge would fall away.
Only Conservative-run councils are standing up against this unfair driving charge on commuters and small businesses.
That’s why the local elections on 4th May are so important. Only by voting for Conservative-run councils can we stop this unfair driving charge on local commuters and small businesses.
