Following the phased reopening of our community recycling centres, the final three sites will be open from 1st August and all sites will be returning to their normal opening days from the same date.
Warlingham, Bagshot and Dorking community recycling centres will be opening from Saturday 1st August for green waste only at the moment. We hope to be able to add other types of waste soon.
Natalie Bramhall, Cabinet Member for Environment and Countryside said, “The team has worked hard to return the waste service to normal for residents, as we know this is highly valued. We thank residents for their patience over the last few months and I’d also like to remind everyone to keep social distancing and be patient. This is crucial for our ability to keep our sites open and traffic flowing well.”As visitor levels return to normal, all sites will return to their standard opening days as of 1st August. Opening hours at all sites will be 8am until 4pm on each opening day. Please check the website before travelling.
Caterham and Cranleigh community recycling centres have been open since the beginning of July, accepting black and green waste and green waste only, respectively. These sites are quieter than the larger sites, so residents are encouraged to travel to those sites if they only have black/ green waste to dispose of, as appropriate, rather than their usual site, as it might be quicker overall.
For full information on opening dates and times, and waste types accepted at each site, please check the website
